Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need live healthy, safe and productive lives. Since 1896, our ministry of service has supported and empowered America’s most vulnerable groups, including veterans, seniors, people with disabilities, at-risk youth, men and women returning from prison, homeless individuals and families, those recovering from addictions and many others.
Get Help
Through our hundreds of human service programs, we help almost 1.3 million people in 46 states as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico each year.
WAYS WE CAN HELP:
-
Housing
We guide individuals and families by providing not only safe, affordable housing, but also the vital support services they need to thrive. We are one of the nation’s largest nonprofit providers of quality, affordable housing for low and moderate-income households. We create and manage housing for the homeless, families with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, including physical and mental disabilities.

Senior Living and Care Communities
For more than 118 years, Volunteers of America has responded to the nation's health care needs. Today, we are a major provider of professional long-term nursing care for seniors and others coping with illness or injury. We offer a continuum of services that extends to the elderly and disabled people requiring long-term health support, including nursing care, assisted living, memory support, home health care, rehabilitation and much more.
