A Family's Christmas is Saved

As employees of Volunteers of America, we are blessed to be able to witness miracle moments when we see just how much our support means for the veterans, seniors and families we serve. Here is one such moment from Volunteers of America Michigan's holiday "Adopt-a-Family" program.

My holiday miracle moment is when our agency adopted a family last year for Christmas. The family was a blended family of five children which included a nephew the couple was also raising and the mother was expecting another baby. The Father was laid off his job and working another job trying to make ends meet for his family. The moment was a treasure when we dropped the gifts and food off to their home, and the children were there because they wanted to meet us and thank us personally. The smiles on those little faces were priceless.
