Teens and Seniors Spend Time Together - and Fun Ensues

As employees of Volunteers of America, we are blessed to be able to witness miracle moments when we see just how much our support means for the veterans, seniors and families we serve. Here is one such moment:

"Action Team members (teens who volunteer their time) came to one of our affordable senior housing programs and served a meal. Then, the school's chorus passed out lyrics and encouraged 30+ residents to join in. There were also games that included both teens and 90 year olds. Afterwards, a senior told me: 'I never expected to have so much fun with a young person. And I don't think they expected to have so much fun with us!'"
