Alexandria, VA, February 24, 2015 – Volunteers of America has teamed with Niagara Bottling, the largest private-label bottled water supplier in the United States, to establish a new national collaboration that promises many exciting opportunities to enhance the lives of disadvantaged children and youth. To inaugurate this new relationship, Niagara has provided a total of $300,000 in grants to three Volunteers of America programs near its bottling facilities.
“We are tremendously grateful to Niagara for its commitment to our mission of serving our nation’s most vulnerable,” said Volunteers of America National President Mike King. “With Niagara’s support, Volunteers of America will be able to improve programs that benefit thousands of children across the United States, helping these youngsters build solid foundations for successful lives.”

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Volunteers of America as we award our first grants through Niagara Cares,” said Niagara Cares Director Kristen Venick. “Niagara Bottling is committed to investing its resources into local communities to support children and families. Through Volunteers of America, we are able to support and empower those most vulnerable to help ease the challenges they face each day.”
Volunteers of America provides high-quality, innovative services for disadvantaged and disconnected children and youth. With a team of caring staff and dedicated volunteers, programs focus on the social, emotional and academic development of young children, and empower older youth to be physically, emotionally and mentally healthy as they enter adulthood. Programs provide a continuum of care and support for young people through prevention, early intervention, crisis intervention, and long-term services.
Niagara Cares, a program of Niagara Bottling, is committed to supporting local and national community initiatives by engaging stakeholders and investing its resources for disadvantaged children and their families. Niagara Cares initiatives include national strategic partnerships, local community grants, employee engagement and volunteerism and the Andrew D. Peykoff, Sr. Scholarship Program.
