ALEXANDRIA, Va. (April 30, 2014) – Volunteers of America, one of the largest national providers of housing and programs for homeless veterans and their families, was recently named a presenting sponsor of the North Texas LPGA Shootout presented by JTBC and Volunteers of America May 1-4, 2014 at the Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas.
“Volunteers of America makes a significant impact in communities around the country,” said Tom Keffer, chairman of the North Texas LPGA Shootout and founding member of the Nexus Club. “We’re glad the organization will gain the recognition they so richly deserve.”
Volunteers of America is a charity that continuously steps forward to help the most vulnerable. For 118 years the organization has taken on the most difficult tasks to help the most underserved. More than 16,000 professional employees help more than 2 million people each year to rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. In over 400 communities across the country, the organization helps where needed, whether with veterans, at-risk youth, the elderly, men and women returning from prison, homeless individuals and families, people with disabilities, or those recovering from addictions.
